Disney World Monorails are one of the most beloved and recognizable modes of transportation on Walt Disney World property. These futuristic-looking, electric trains run on a concrete track high in the sky. Many consider a ride on the monorail as a ride in itself. Climb onboard this “Highway in the Sky” and take in the impressive sights of the Magic Kingdom and its resorts. There are three different tracks for the monorail trains – The Magic Kingdom Express, the Magic Kingdom Resorts, and an Epcot Line. The Express Monorail line runs continuously from the Transportation & Ticket Center to the Magic Kingdom. This makes it fast and convenient for guests arriving from the main parking lot. The Magic Kingdom Resort loop makes five stops; Transportation & Ticket Center, the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Magic Kingdom, and then the Contemporary Resort. The Resort Monorail is a great way to visit the Magic Kingdom Resorts for shopping and dining. The Epcot line provides round trip service to Epcot from the TTC. The monorail has been transporting guests since the Walt Disney World Resort opened in 1971. And remember, “Please stand clear of the doors! Por favor mantenganse alejado de las puertas!”
