Savor the Savanna: Evening Safari Experience

Immerse your senses during a privately guided journey and explore the sights and sounds—and tastes—of Africa. Welcome to Savor the Savanna: Evening Safari Experience, an all-new premium tour where you can discover the wonders of the continent’s most amazing creatures… and so much more!

Special Access to the Savanna

Your safari begins with a journey deep into the heart of the Harambe Wildlife Reserve. As the evening awakens, you’ll soon find yourself within one of the most secluded and breathtaking private viewing areas the Savanna has to offer.

Listen along as your guide tells tales of the unique residents who inhabit the reserve, and don’t hesitate to ask questions as he or she shares insightful information about the wildlife and the special care they’re provided at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park.

Know Before You Go

View important tour information recommended attire, amenities provided and more:

• Savor the Savanna: Evening Safari Experience features a ride in a rugged safari vehicle over an open savanna teeming with wildlife.
• For your safety, you should be in good health and free from high blood pressure; heart, back or neck problems; motion sickness or other conditions that could be aggravated by this adventure. Expectant mothers should not participate.
• Guests must be at least 8 years of age to participate in this experience.
• Guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a participating adult (18 years of age or older).
• This experience requires Guests in ECVs to transfer into an available wheelchair to participate in the tour.
• Please arrive on time and allow approximately 10 minutes for the walk from the turnstiles at the front of Disney’s Animal Kingdom park to the Harambe area check-in location.
• This excursion occurs rain or shine, with the exception of severe weather or lightning.
• Tour itinerary, content, duration and availability are subject to change without notice.
• You will forfeit the entire price of your tour if you no-show or cancel within 2 days of your reservation.
• Valid theme park admission to Disney’s Animal Kingdom park is also required and is not included in the price of this tour.
• Guests must be at least 21 years of age or older to consume alcoholic beverages. Please keep a valid form of identification on hand at all times to verify your age.

Wild Africa Trek

This is one of our favorite backstage Disney tours with a true behind the scenes look at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park.  Wild Africa Trek is an immersive experience that offers Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Guests a unique opportunity to enjoy unexplored areas of the Harambe Reserve and have an “up close and personal” experience with intriguing African wildlife species.

This three-hour experience led by specially trained guides begins in the Safi River valley where expedition harnesses will allow Guests to cross precarious rope bridges and enjoy up-close views of Nile hippos and crocodiles. The journey continues along the edge of a magnificent, wide-open African savannah, where Guests board a specialized vehicle to enjoy an exclusive safari, including a stop at a private safari camp. This 30-minute respite allows Guests to continue premium animal viewing and enjoy African-inspired food samplings.

A Disney-trained photographer will capture memories while guests enjoy the Wild Africa Trek experience. At the end of the trek, guests will be provided digital copies of all photos which are included in the ticket price.

It’s a way to experience the exclusivity and thrills of a safari adventure right in the heart of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  The Jones Family at Jones Family Travels experiences the Wild Africa Trek.  Come along on this exclusive tour.

Please note that Guests must be ambulatory and have sufficient stamina and endurance to experience this walking and climbing adventure. Backstage Tales Tour at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park

Backstage Tales will give guests the opportunity to experience backstage Disney with tales (“tails”) during this in-depth program by providing an insider’s look at the innovative ways Disney is meeting challenges in areas such as conservation, animal nutrition and medicine, animal care and behavioral studies.

Highlights of the Backstage Tales Tours:

• Visit the Animal Nutrition Center and see how more than 3 tons of food are prepared and distributed each day.
• Go behind the scenes and explore a backstage animal-housing area.
• Tour the state-of-the-art veterinary hospital, where they may witness animals being treated.
• Stop by the Animal Programs Administration building and learn how Disney promotes global wildlife conservation and animal well-being.

Guests must be at least 12 years old to attend this program. Guests are required to have a photo ID in their possession during the program. This is both an indoor and outdoor program, including moderate walking and stair climbing. Guests with special needs can be accommodated with prior notice. The Ultimate Day of Thrills

A thrilling, three park VIP Tour Experience of a lifetime. The day starts in the Magic Kingdom® Park riding favorite attractions including Pirates of the Caribbean, Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Seven Dwarf’s Mine Train, and Space Mountain. Guests board private transportation as they journey to the Disney Hollywood Studios® where they will visit four of the park’s most exciting attractions, Toy Story Mania!, Star Tours – The Adventures Continue, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. The day concludes at Disney’s Animal Kingdom with a high-speed trek through Expedition Everest followed by DINOSAUR.

The Ultimate Day of Classic Disney Attractions

Guests will experience classic Disney stories as their party enjoys special access to at least eleven select Classic Disney Theme Park Attractions and LIVE seated shows throughout the Walt Disney World® Resort. During their six to seven-hour VIP Tour Experience, they will visit the most beloved attractions at Magic Kingdom Park including Peter Pan’s Flight, “it’s a small world“, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and more. Guests will travel in private transportation to the Disney Hollywood Studios to enjoy the Frozen Sing-along Celebration or Disney Junior LIVE and the top rated family attraction at Walt Disney World Resort, Toy Story Mania!
