Before we add a new supplier, do we already work with a Preferred Supplier that sells that destination? Our Preferred Suppliers provide excellent service to our customers and our agents. In addition, they pay and pay timely. Before you look for a new supplier, check our DTE Suppliers list at https://bit.ly/dtesuppliers. If you need some guidance on a destination, email Barb. We manually approve all new suppliers, including a background check and review of terms and conditions. This could take up to 7 business days to approve. Keep in mind that a supplier may not be approved.
There are a few important things for you to know about adding a new supplier:
- New suppliers are not our preferred suppliers which means they may or may not pay. We have seen so many new suppliers over the years never pay the commissions. You can always go to our Destinations to Explore Supplier link at https://bit.ly/dtesuppliers to search for a supplier or destination for your customer.
- We are only adding this supplier to ClientEase so you can track the reservation in this CRM program. YOU are responsible to follow up with the new supplier to make sure they have all of the documentation required to pay the commission. New suppliers often require additional information including the ones below. You will want to double check to make sure this new supplier has everything needed to process and pay a commission BEFORE you book with them and after the customer travels.
Some of these details include:
- W9 for the agency (if needed)
- Invoice to pay the commission (if needed)
- Verify the supplier has the correct name (Destinations to Explore) and the correct address 3948 3rd Street South #348 Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250 for commission payments.
