Where can we meet Disney Characters?
There are many places around the Theme Parks where you can meet and greet Disney Characters. Always check the Daily Times Guide upon entering for a list of locations and timeframes. Character dining is also available all around the Walt Disney World® Resort.
What ride restrictions are there?
Some of the attractions at Walt Disney World® Resort have ride restrictions to ensure Guests’ safety. Typical safety restrictions include height restrictions, health and safety advisories and accessibility guidelines. These restrictions and advisories are listed on the individual attraction pages throughout the site.
Is a post office or other location available for shipping my purchases?
Certainly. For your convenience, there are locations at each Theme Park where you can ship packages.
What is Disney Springs™?
Disney Springs will be a retail, dining and entertainment expansion inspired by Florida’s waterfront towns, architecture and natural beauty. Coming to the Downtown Disney® area at Walt Disney World® Resort, the expansion will be completed in phases, starting with certain areas opening in early 2015, and with the final area expected to be completed by mid-2016.
The expansion will double the number of shopping, dining and entertainment experiences—from over 70 venues to more than 150—making it the largest expansion in Downtown Disney history.
Disney Springs will feature 4 distinct neighborhoods centered around the springs—The Landing, Marketplace, West Side and Town Center.
You are able to continue to enjoy the Disney Springs area while the expansion is taking place.
Where is Disney Springs located and how can I get there?
Disney Springs is located inside the Walt Disney World Resort. Motor coach transportation is available from all Walt Disney World Resorts. Parking is complimentary and located throughout Disney Springs.
What types of shopping and dining experiences are coming to Disney Springs?
Disney Springs will include an eclectic and contemporary mix from Disney and other noteworthy brands, including boutique shops and flagship locations that will provide diverse and high-quality experiences. Disney Springs will also be home to world-class dining and unparalleled entertainment unlike any other currently available in Central Florida.

Are reservations available at Walt Disney World Resort restaurants?
Yes, reservations are available, and recommended, at many of the Walt Disney World Resort restaurants. Reservations can be arranged by calling (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463). It is recommended that you arrive at the dining location five minutes prior to your seating time. Your party will be seated at the next available table that is able to accommodate your party size.
What if I need to cancel my Walt Disney World Resort restaurant reservations?
Each restaurant maintains its own cancellation policy. When making your arrangements, be sure to ask what that restaurant’s policy is. This will help avoid any unforeseen charges that may apply for cancellations or no shows.
Are there world-class shopping and nightlife/entertainment destinations at the Walt Disney World Resort?

What child-care and baby-sitting services are available?
Treat your children to magical Disney activities they’re sure to never forget. At Children’s Activity Centers your children may enjoy spectacular fun. Take advantage of a professional caretaking staff who can supervise your children in your Resort room or your children may enjoy spectacular fun at one of the Children’s Activity Centers. With computer games, Disney movies, dinner and snacks in an environment that is undeniably Disney, kids ages 4-12 are certain to find tons of fun – while you have an adult’s night out for yourself. Child Activity Centers are located at most Walt Disney World® Deluxe Resorts and are open for use by all Guests. However, space is limited and advance reservations are highly recommended.
Is there anything special I can plan for a birthday or special occasion?
A variety of activities are available at the Walt Disney World® Resort to help make birthdays more special and memorable. For instance, your family may wish to dine with the Disney Characters at one of many character breakfasts, lunches, or dinners. Are personal checks accepted as a form of payment?
With the advent and increased use of both debit cards and gift cards by consumers in the retail industry at large as well as at Walt Disney World® Resort, the use of personal checks as a form of payment has significantly declined. As a result, all merchandise locations at the Walt Disney World® Resort no longer accept personal checks as a form of payment. Guests can continue to use all other accepted forms of payment such as major credit cards, travelers checks, Resort I.D. Card and cash.

Although special events, promotions and other unpredictable factors may influence Theme Park attendance levels, the following list highlights historic attendance trends throughout the year. Note: All holiday reference is specific to the United States (U.S.)

- January (except New Year’s Day) until just prior to Presidents’ week in February (third Monday)
- The week following Labor Day until just prior to Thanksgiving (U.S.) week

Although we cannot tell you exactly what weather to expect during your vacation, here are the average high/low temperatures, followed by the average rainfall in inches for the Orlando, Florida area during the three-month periods indicated. All Guests are encouraged to review upcoming forecasts for the Orlando area prior to departure.
